The best damage control shampoo I have come across was Aussie Cleanse and Mend. As for preventing damage. Don't brush your hair when it's wet (gives you split ends) and use a heat protectant spray that you can buy from the same place you get your shampoo. If possible you should really stop using heat to style your hair.

yah i use Biolage shampoo and conditioner it is amazing it does wonders on your hair it might be alittle pricey depending on your price range but i love it!! you can buy it at any local walmart or at any hair salon.
My other half owns a salon and she swears by Kerastase,

Well um....... i would say i have the same problem and what works for me so good is aussie cleanse and mend shampoo YOU HAVE TO GET IT!!!!
