Is there any alternative to anti-dandruff shampoo?

argh it's drving me mad! none of the shampoos work, is there any other remedy or something????Is there any alternative to anti-dandruff shampoo?

u can buy tea tree shampoo.t..he body shop sell it and so do health shops..i use the thursday plantation brand they are great.
try tea-gel or polytar or alphosyl shampoo

i use tea-tree oil added 2 my ordinary shampoo


but u can buy tea-tree oil shampoo.

is it dandruff or maybe it could be buildup from the products that you use on your hair??? you could get a claifing shampoo and maybe use that a few times a week, maybe alternate the different types of shampoo???

Most of the symptoms of dandruff, the flakes, are due to fungus. If you have not yet tried Nizoral shampoo, which is an ant-fungal, give it a try.





Use it for alternate days for 2-3 weeks, then twice a week, and finally when the problem is solved continue maintenance at twice a month,using ordinary shampoos in between.
Yeah I know some people who stopped having dandruff after having shaved their head for a while.





If you're a guy it's easier than if you're girl though. I could never convince myself to do that... On some people it looks great, on others it looks odd.
T-Gel works quite well. I think that's the name brand. My wife uses it when her's gets bad enough. The only problem is that it doesn't smell very good. But you only have to use it once a week, or so.
You could try Shampure by Aveda which is very mild and gentle, smells lovely and removes build up in the hair.


Also, Scalp benefits by Aveda which isn't exactly anti-dandruff but is a great scalp cleanser and will probably do more for you than typical anti-dandruff shampoos.
